Stefan Slavchev will provide the opposition for Ryan Burnett as he fights for the second time in a week this coming Saturday night.
To say Burnett returned with a bang in Belfast last Saturday would prove an understatement. The 22 year old took out Valentin Marinov in sensational fashion dropping him twice in the first round with pin point through the guard uppercuts.
The Olympic Youth gold medal winner, who had been out of the ring for over a year prior to the Back To The Future Card, but doesn’t have to wait long for his next competitive bout, as he fights the Bulgarian in the York Hall this coming weekend.
Burnett will be expected to beat the 21 year old, but as Irish fight fans who seen the Bulgarian in against Luke Wilton will know Slavchev can prove frustrating opposition.
The fighter, who has three stoppages from five wins, was twice docked points for holding against ‘Winky’ earlier this year.
