Dublin super featherweight Declan Geraghty [12(3)-1(0)] has secured a new fight date, and will be looking to strut his stuff for the television cameras ahead of a title charge in 2017.

‘Pretty Boy’ will box on the October 1st MGM Scotland show in Glasgow at the Bellahouston Sports Centre. The card will also be televised live on Boxnation TV.

It will be Geraghty’s first fight back since his tough win over Eusebio Osejo in Liverpool. The Nicaraguan would go on to claim a draw with former World champion Kiko Martinez in his next fight.

Geraghty last fought on television last November, also on Boxnation, at the National Stadium where he comfortably outpointed another Nicaraguan, Reynaldo Cajina.

The Dubliner said that “I’m looking to pick up my 13th professional win and push closer to the big titles.”

“I wanna say a big thanks to my team for getting me on a great bill which will be televised.”

The Scottish card will be headlined by light middleweight John Thain taking on Nathan Brough, and an all-Alba light welterweight clash between Lee Redpath and Steven Beattie. Also appearing on the card will be Stephen Simmons, David Brophy, Lewis Benson, Steven Tiffney, and Jordan McCorry.
