Anto Upton [13(5)-1(0)] has secured a fight date for next month.

The English light welterweight champion will box on the Hellraiser Boxing ‘East End Explosion’ card at the York Hall in London on November 5th.

A non-title fight, the bout will be Upton’s first under new coaches Barry Smith and Harry Andrews as he looks to get to grips with his new team.

The 24 year old won the English title in July, scoring a ninth round one-punch stoppage of Luke Paddock in a close fight in Wallsall.

Upton is due to face Joe Hughes, who beat him last December, in a mandatory defence of his English title, and next month’s fight will help serve as a warm-up

Fight dates for Anto’s brothers, Irish light middleweight champ Pauly and English light middleweight title hopeful Sonny, are expected in the near future.
