New addition to next Dublin show

The next professional boxing show in Dublin is continuing to fill up.

SK Promotions run their inaugural card on Friday October 20th at the CityWest Hotel in Saturday.

The ‘Next Generation’ small haller kicks off a massive weekend for Irish boxing, with Ryan Burnett looking to unify the IBF and WBA bantamweight titles against Zhanat Zhakiyanov in Belfast the following night.

Tonight it was confirmed that Waterford welterweight Dylan Moran [2(1)-0] will feature on the Friday night.

The Kieran Farrell fighter saw not one but two fight dates fall though last week. Initially due to appear on the cancelled show in Belfast on Friday October 6th, attempts to transfer him to the Red Corner show in Dublin the following night were blocked by the British Boxing Board of Control due to a lack of notice.

Now the Déise boxer will finally make his homecoming at the third attempt.

The fight against a to-be-confirmed opponent comes less than a month after his last outing – a first round stoppage over tough Nicaraguan Geiboord Omier.

Moran said that “it’s always nice to get your opponent out of there early and once I caught him I knew he wouldn’t see out the round. It’s great to be back out. The only thing lacking from my last fight was getting rounds and it’s good to get that chance again so soon.”

The Dungarvan man joins Karl Kelly, Christopher Mullally, Liam Gaynor, and debutant Luke Boyle on the bill.

Tickets for ‘Next Generation’ cost £35 (general) and £55 (ringside) and are available from the fighters involved or by calling SK Promotions on +353857339459.
