Middleweight to Midwife – O’Kane on hand for special delivery

More noted for delivering the goods in the ring, Eamonn O’Kane managed to deliver a baby over the weekend.

The former Irish middleweight champion performed under pressure outside of the ring and helped bring his first daughter into the world.

The Commonwealth Games medalist and wife Nicola were faced with a dilemma when it became apparent the baby was coming, but the ambulance wasn’t.

The medical services were not going to make it the former boxers house on time, so O’Kane had to be on hand to help with a special delivery.

The former fighter was helped ensure a safe delivery of his daughter.

We here at Irish-boxing.com would like to congratulate the O’Kane family on the new arrival.

‘King Kane’ has been retired for over five years, the Prizefighter winner calling it a day after a sensational battle with Tureano Johnson.
