March May test for Australian based Belfast welter

Nathan Watson [3(1)-0] has a March fight for the second time this year on May 15th.

The Belfast welterweight registered victory over Thailand’s Uten Chanavon in March and will to make it two 2021 wins next month.

The Australian-based fighter steps into the unknown on a ‘Demolition Day’ card as he takes on Jessie ‘James’ March on an Ace Boxing Group card at the Mansfield Tavern.

March will be making his boxing debut having transitioned over from Thai Boxing.

The Mansfield Tavern hosted event is topped by a fight between world-ranked heavyweight Demsey “the Tower of Terror” McKean and undefeated Kiwi toughman Kiki Toa Leutele.

Joel “CamaKO” Camilleri and Luke Woods also appear as they battle for the WBC Oceania light middleweight belt.

Conor Wallace of Newry is in title action this weekend. Wallace puts his Australian title on the line against Leti Leti Down Under.

No doubt Watson will be eyeing straps soon and may look at going the Queensland State route before the year is out.
