Lurgan super bantamweight turns professional
Boxing Ireland Promotions have continued their northern expansion with the acquisition of another Ulster talent.
The team behind the popular ‘Celtic Clash’ series have signed Lurgan-based super bantamweight Jamie Douglas.
An experienced amateur with Gilford A.B.C., Douglas was the 2016 Ulster Senior (Intermediate) champion at bantamweight.
Recently he has been operating on the semi-pro scene and earlier this month came second in a Prizefighter-style lightweight tournament on a UBBF show in Newry.

Douglas will debut on the soon to-be-announced ‘Celtic Clash 7‘ show and is the latest northern addition for Boxing Ireland who intend to begin running shows in Belfast in the near future.
He joins Antrim cruiser Conor Cooke and Belfast middle Conor Doherty in the stable which also includes BUI Celtic featherweight champ Eric Donovan.
