Larry Fryers faces best prospect in boxing this Saturday night according to Bob Arum

Larry Fryers [11(4)-3(1)] faces 2020’s most talented prospect warns a Bob Arum, a promoter who has been building fighters for over 50 years.

The New York based Monaghan fighter has taken a fight on Top Rank’s Las Vegas card this Saturday night and faces knockout artistĀ Elvis Rodriguez [10(10)-0-1] at very short notice.

Arum believes in ā€œThe Dominican Kidā€, ‘Lethal Larry’ faces the standout young fighter of 2020.

ā€œI have not seen a more talented prospect this year than Elvis Rodriguez, and with the incomparable Freddie Roach in his corner, he is in wonderful hands,ā€ said Top Rank Chairman, Arum.

Rodriguez himself has aspirations of claiming the ‘Prospect of the Year’ gong – and as a result Elvis is determined aims to leave the building with one last knockout to end 2020.

Speaking ahead of the six round MGM Grand hosted, ESPN+ six rounder Rodriguez said: ā€œI amĀ grateful for the opportunities that Top Rank has given me and theĀ effort of my team to keep me fit and ready.

ā€œI would like to be recognized as Prospect of the Year. It would be a great recognition of my talent, effort, sacrificeĀ and discipline. I believe that I would be the first Dominican boxer named Prospect of the Year. Representing the Dominican flag is a source of pride for me. I feel committed to bringing a world title to my country.ā€

Rodriguez is 5-0 in 2020, including a slew of highlight-reel knockouts since making his Bubble debut July 2 with a one-punch knockout over Danny Murray. He last fought Oct. 9 and knocked out the usually durable veteran Cameron Krael with a right hook in the third round. Fryers returns to The Bubble following a unanimous decision loss in June to unbeaten prospect John Bauza.
