Keeler OFF Groves-headlined Matchroom show in London

Luke Keeler has been dealt another dose of bad luck and now will no longer be appearing on the January 30th Matchroom Promotions show, headlined by George Groves, at London’s Copper Box Arena.

The Dublin middleweight, who broke his hand in Prizefighter last year as well as seeing fight dates fall through, revealed the unfortunate news to his friends and followers on social media last night.

The 28 year old however softened the blow by teasing that he could appear on two cards in the coming months – a confirmed eight-round fight on a Matchroom show in March as well as another potential outing in early February.

While the Celtic Warriors puncher has not commented himself recently, the withdrawal from the January 30th show will certainly increase speculation that Keeler could meet Cyclone middleweight Conrad Cummings on the massive Carl Frampton-Scott Quigg undercard on February 27th at the Manchester Arena.

As he has said previously, Keeler is aiming for big fights in 2016 and while this withdrawal will be frustrating, ‘Cool Hand Luke’ will be out soon in what promises to be a massive year.
