“I will KO Jay Byrne!” – Sergio promising A-bad night for Irish foe

Sergio Abad is coming to Dublin on an Irish revenge mission.

The Spaniard suffered a points loss to Gerard Whitehouse in what was the Fight of the Night back in November on the debut Red Corner Promotions show at the National Stadium.

Now he returns to Dublin for the second Red Corner show, ‘Unfinished Business,’ where he will face Loughlinstown welter Jay Byrne [3(1)-0].

Abad [2(1)-7(1)] pushed European Schoolboys bronze medalist Whitehouse all the way last time out, and was perhaps unfortunate not to be awarded even a share of a round on referee Mickey Vann’s card.

This frustrated the game Andalusian, who won the respect of everyone in attendance that night, and he does not want his fight this Saturday to go to the cards.

The relentless slugger is promising a stoppage win, and said that “I am coming to Dublin for revenge.”

“There will be no need for decision this time. I will KO Jay Byrne!”

Also featuring on the Luke Keeler v Lewis Taylor-topped card will be Eric Donovan, Chris Blaney, Lynn Harvey, Stevie Collins, Allan Phelan, Connor Coyle, Noely Murphy, Craig O’Brien, and debutant Thomas Finnegan.

Byrne is offering a €40 ticket deal which includes finger food beforehand, a t-shirt, transport to the Stadium from Bradys, Shankill, and entry to an afterparty. Contact Jay at 0833040419.
