Hutchinson: bitter Healy and I should sort it out once and for all

JOHN Hutchinson wants a 10 round fight with Gerard Healy so the pair can ‘sort it out once and for all’.

‘Boom Boom’ and the ‘Buncrana Banger’ have twice shared the squared circle, the first bout going the way of ‘Hutch’ and the second one was a technical draw after a clash of heads lead to a nasty Healy cut.

Belfast’s Healy has always felt aggrieved by the first defeat and the pair shared words after the second. Team Healy felt Hutchinson was a bit of a head banger and not just a ‘Buncrana Banger’. Hutchinson, however is adamant the head clashes were all accidental, but he is willing to grant Healy, who registered a points win on Saturday night, a chance to avenge the defeat.

The former Irish title challenger contacted Irish-boxing.com to say,

“I seen a few videos of Geared Healy on Irish-boxing.com and he keeps bringing my name up and mentioning  old fights.

“We had a fall out but he’s not a bad fella, I just think his still bitter. I see he mentioned what ever I bring to the table he can handle. I will get back in the gym and if I get the weight down I will grant him his wish see can he handle 10 rounds. Lets sort this dout once and for all. Lets arrange and fight and may the best man win.”
