A huge Irish title fight has been announced today that will add even more interest to the Belfast Boxnation show in two weeks time.

Belfast’s James Tennyson [16(13)-2(2)] will fight Dubliner Deco Geraghty [13(3)-1(0)] for the Irish super featherweight title in December.

The pair both box on the November 5th at the Titanic Exhibition Centre in warm-up bouts ahead of the December title tussle.

The green belt battle promises to be a fascinating mesh of styles between the slick southpaw skills of Geraghty and the formidable power of Tennyson.

The date and venue for the clash will be announced in the near future.

Tennyson will be looking to become a two-time Irish super feather champion having defeated Mickey Coveney for the green belt in 2013 before moving down to 126lbs, winning the BBBoC Celtic title, and challenging for Ryan Walsh’s British title earlier this year.

The last time Geraghty was involved in an all-Irish fight it led to the 2014 BUI Fight of the Year, shared with Jono Carroll whom he lost to via a third round disqualification despite being up on the cards.
