Micheal Conlan made history in Doha this evening.
The 23 year old Belfast puncher became the first man to claim World Championships gold for Ireland.
The much decorated amateur has long been heralded in boxing circles as one of the brightest talents we have ever produced and cemented his status as one of the greatest ever Irish amateurs with his win over Murodjon Akhmadaliev.
The victory brought joy from Irish fan fights, boxers, family and more on Twitter.
