Fury to train in Ireland for Klitschko clash

Tyson Fury will engage in a clash of the titans with Wladimir Klitschko in Germany on October 24th for the Ukrainian’s world title.

Düsseldorf’s Espirit Arena will be the venue and Fury’s trainer and uncle, Peter Fury, has stated that Tyson will prepare for the bout in Ireland.

Speaking on twitter, Peter Fury confirmed:

Manchester-born Fury has previously held the Irish heavyweight title, as well as donning the green vest as an amateur.

If he were to win, Fury would be Ireland’s first claim on the heavyweight world title since ‘The Cinderella Man,’ James J. Braddock who held the crown in the 1930s.

New York-born Braddock was the son of two Irish immigrants – while Fury has deep Irish roots in Galway and Tipperary.
