Fryers secures British title eliminator bout for February

James ‘The Future’ Fryers will fight in an eliminator for the British Super Featherweight title on February 6th.

The 23 year old Belfast boxer will trade leather with Yorkshire fighter Maxi Hughes in a British Boxing Board of Control sanctioned eliminator.

The bout will take place on the same bill as the James Tennyson Vs Darren Traynor British Featherweight title bout at the Europa Hotel.

Fryers is ranked 10 in UK has been in the professional ranks for over 3 years is undefeated after 11 contests. Hughes is the Number 7 ranked contender and  has some great names on his record including a controversial draw over Matchroom prospect MJ Ward which he was deemed to have won but handed a draw by the 3 Judges despite flooring Ward twice. His most recent contest seen him beat London Olympic prospect Abdon Cesar over 6 rounds at the end of October.
