FOURTEENTH fighter confirmed for Celtic Clash 4

Celtic Clash 4 is on course to beat it own records.

This evening the fourteenth fighter was confirmed for the Saturday December 2nd bill at the National Stadium in Dublin.

It was announced that Lucan welterweight John Joyce [2(1)-0] will feature on the Boxing Ireland Promotions and Tony Davitt Promotions card.

Joyce, who is trained and managed by Davitt, will be appearing on his third successive Celtic Clash bill.

He debuted in May with a stunning first round stoppage of Patryk Jackowiak, and followed this up in September with a hard-fought, entertaining win over Belfast veteran Jamesy Gorman.

The 30 year old soldier is keen to progress quickly in the sport, and this December date could be his final four rounder before a step up.

The Celtic Clash 2 bill in May set the record for the highest number of fights on a professional bill in Irish boxing history, with 15 bouts on the card.

Co-headlining the card in December will be Gerard Whitehouse and Eric Donovan, with undercard support from Sean Creagh, Jake Hanney, Anto Cacace, Stephen McAfee, Regan Buckley, James Cahill, Martin Quinn, Dylan McDonagh, Michael Gallagher, Colin O’Donovan, and Niall O’Connor, with still more to be announced.

Tickets for the bill costing €30, €40, €60, and €100 go on sale this week and will be available from the fighters involved or from Ticketmaster.
