Florida debut date set for Connor Coyle

Connor Coyle will make his professional debut in Florida in September.

The Derry middleweight has a provisional date of Friday September 16th pencilled in in the Sunshine State.

Coyle, who won Commonwealth bronze in 2014, will be trained by Jim McLoughlin in St. Petersburg just outside Tampa.

McLoughlin is a member of the Florida Boxing Hall of Fame and is a former trainer of two-time light middleweight World champ Ronald ‘Winky’ Wright

26 year old Coyle had recently been training at the Celtic Warriors Gym in Dublin alongside the likes of Spike O’Sullivan and Luke Keeler.

Coyle will link up with his former St Joseph’s ABC clubmate, featherweight John Cooley [1(0)-0].
