First fight date of 2017 confirmed for Con Sheehan
Con Sheehan [4(1)-0] will return to the ring next month in Ireland.
The Tipperary heavyweight has this evening been confirmed for the Boxnation card to take place at the Waterfront Hall in Belfast on Saturday February 18th.
The Peter Fury-trained Sheehan last fought on the previous Belfast Boxnaton card back in November, scoring a hard-fought eight-round win over Kamil Sokolowski.
The 27 year old is hoping for a break-out 2017, and intends to fight for the Irish title this coming SUmmer, potentially against MTK stablemate Sean Turner.
The former elite amateur joins a stacked card which is due to be headlined by Commonwealth super flyweight champion Jamie Conlan. Featuring on the undercard are Paddy Barnes, Marco McCullough, Phil Sutcliffe, and Steven Ward, with more still to be announced. In addition, there are two mouth-watering all-Irish fights, with James Tennyson and Declan Geraghty contesting the Irish super featherweight title, and Tyrone McKenna defending his BUI Celtic light welterweight belt against Jake Hanney.
An opponent for ‘Con The Bomb’ will be announced in the near future.
