On Monday he was remembered in Belfast via the plaque speaking to Daily Belfast, his mother Mary said,

“We spent Sunday as a family at Eamonn’s grave, it was Cemetery Sunday at St Joseph’s in Hannahstown and it was a beautiful day,” she said. “We brought a few blankets with us and sat there remembering Eamonn and sharing stories. We want there to still be some happy times.

“The people who were here today are the same people who have been with us from day one. We are surrounded by good people and we want to make sure we thank them. We couldn’t have got through this past year without them.”

“There isn’t a minute of the day when he’s not in our thoughts. We love and miss him very much.”
