‘Destined to be one of the greats’ – Promoter backs Irish prospect to become a star

Caoimhin Agyarko’s promoter has put his neck on the line and gone all out in backing the young talent.

Francis Warren of Queensbury Promotions has not only predicted world title success for the Belfast prospect, but has forecast greatness for Agyarko [5(2)-0].

Warren has obviously been impressed with the ‘gifted’ 22-year-old’s displays so far, but with such a small body of work to go off it’s more than likely makes the prediction armed with some inside information.

Speaking online Warren said, Agyarko “will be a world champion. He is absolute class in and out of the ring and is destined to be one of the greats. Determined, Disciplined, gifted.”

The light middleweight Irish title hopeful made if five straight wins with victory in York Hall on Saturday.

The Holly Trinity BC graduate made light work of Nicaraguan Nelson Altamirano to register his second career stoppage and push his slate to five wins without defeat.

The manner of the London based and trained fighter’s performances have won plaudits from fans both sides of the Irish sea.

Warrren is certainly a fan and having promoter favour can only benefit in terms of being progressed favourably.

Agyarko has expressed an Irish title ambition and the fact his last fight was scheduled for eight rounds makes him eligible
