2015: Belfast bantamweight Ryan Burnett won the British title. The North Belfast boxer had recently signed with Eddie Hearn and Matchroom Boxing, and outpointed veteran Jason Booth, knocking the Nottingham fighter down in the first en-route to a unanimous win (120-107).

1979: Dublin’s Pat McCormack lost his British light welterweight title. Defending the belt for the first time, McCormack was outpointed (146-147½) over fifteen rounds by Scouser Joey Singleton at The Stadium in Liverpool.
