Conway has draw overturned following opponent drug test failure
Matt Conway has had his recent draw expunged from his record.
The West Virginian light welter of Cork descent was held to a debatable six-round draw by Chrisshawn Alexander last month at the Rivers Casino in Pittsburgh.
However, ‘Sweet Child’ has recently been informed that the result has been changed to a no-contest by the Pennsylvania State Athletic Commission due to Alexander failing a post-fight drug test.
The ruling means that Conway’s record now reads 6(3)-0. The 21 year old will be back in action on October 1st at the Wheeling Casino, where he will move up and fight for the West Virginia State welterweight title against Zack Kuhn [9(4)-2(1)-1].
