Belfast Coach retires – Gallagher, Donnelly, Crocker and co looking for new trainer

The likes of Paddy Gallagher, Steven Donnelly, Conrad Cummings and Lewis Crocker could be on the look out for a new coach from today after Gerard McManus has elected to take a break from boxing.

McManus had built a strong stable of fighters over the last year or so with names like Donnelly, Cummings and Crocker electing to team up with the coach and Daniel Anderson.

However, just as the Gleann gym was beginning to become one of the places to train for Belfast fighters, McManus has stepped down.

According to reports the coach has made the decision for family reasons, McManus looking to spend more time with his family at this stage of his life.

News as to what direction the close crop of fighters that operator under McManus will take has yet to shared.

Gallagher, Donnelly, Cummings, Crocker, Owen O’Neill, Julio Cesar and the are like are in relative coaching limbo.
