Bates registers KO at the York Hall

CIARAN Bates made it five fights without defeat since turning pro with victory in London on Saturday night.

The lightweight prospect stopped Danail Stanoev (2-2) in the third round of a scheduled four rounder in the famous York Hall venue.

Bates now has four stoppages in his five professional fights thanks to his first win on the road.

The 29 year old Irish title hopeful is keen to push and will be hope for a quick return to action as he bids to push toward Irish title contention.
