Another undercard addition for Belfast Boxnation card

A fourth fighter has been confirmed for the Boxnation show that will take place in Belfast on Saturday February 18th.

Frank Warren’s Queensberry Boxing today announced that Newtownabbey light heavyweight Steven Ward [2(0)-0] will feature on the Waterfront Hall-hosted card.

Ward debuted on the previous Belfast Boxnation card, outpointing the negative Merdjidin Yuseinov at the Titanic Exhibition Centre in November before decisioning strong journeyman Remigijus Ziausys four weeks later in Coventry.

‘The Quiet Man’ said that “the plans my team have in place are exciting and exactly what I need at this stage of my career. My two fights at the end of 2016 were great learning fights and I can’t wait to go again in my own city in February. I’m improving with every fight and hopefully we’ll see some late stoppages as I progress.”

Headlining the card next month is Jamie Conlan, who is hoping to defend his Commonwealth super flyweight title, while the undercard will also feature double Olympic bronze medalist Paddy Barnes and featherweight fan favourite Marco McCullough.
