Aaron McKenna and Jason Quigley claim big KO wins in LA
Jason Quigley got back to winning ways last night while Aaron McKenna continued his impressive run.
The pair were in action on a Golden Boy bill in LA and took little time in registering wins at The Hangar venue in Costa Mesa.
Quigley, fighting now under the tutelage of former middleweight champ Andy Lee, dominated Abraham Codero.
His return after a first career defeat, suffered at the gloves of Tureano Johnson in July, the Donegal middleweight was extremely aggressive from the off.

The above salvo in round two almost had the outmatched and outsized Cordero gone and when the chance arose again one round later, Quigley ensured that ref Thomas Taylor had to jump in.
The quick victory sees Quigley improve to 17(13)-1(1) and the Ballybofey man will be looking for big fights in the new year.
Congratulations @Aaronmckenna99 on your KO 🥊💥 #AndStillUndefeated#UlysseBarroso

A short while earlier, Quigley’s Sheer Sports stablemate Aaron McKenna required even less time.
The Monaghan welter put Victor Eddy Gayton down for the count with a perfect left hook to the body in Round 2 to move to 10(6).
McKenna, who is aiming for world title honours inside the next 18 months, is another primed for a big 2019 – with a step-up to eight rounds next on the agenda.
