Hearn: I miss Belfast and will return in April or May

Eddie Hearn ‘misses Belfast’ and has confirmed that he is bringing the Sky cameras back to current capital of Irish Boxing.

Irish-boxing.com believes the Matchroom boss has the Odyssey Arena booked for an April 30 card, but while Hearn wouldn’t be drawn on the date or venue he did tell Ireland’s leading boxing webiste that he will promote a show in the city.

Ryan Burnett, who added the WBC International title to the British and WBO European title he sports on his waist last Saturday night, looks set to top a bill stacked with a host of local talent.

“I want to come back to Belfast, whether that is April or May we’ll see,” he said in Manchester last week.

“I would like to go a couple of times a year. I like going places where there is passion and people care. We do Liverpool, we do Manchester, we do London, we have introduced Leeds, Hull which have been tremendous, but I miss Belfast.”
