Here is what happened when McGregor sparred boxing World title challenger with MMA rules

Former Crumlin BC amateur and current UFC MMA superstar Conor McGregor is noted for his stand-up skills.

It is well known he develops that talent sparring some of Dublin’s top boxers.

The likes of Patrick Hyland and Stephen Ormond have been in the ring sparring one of biggest stars in MMA over the past few years.

So confident is McGregor in his boxing ability that he has said he would take on Floyd Mayweather if the chance arose. However, he does admit he would be a massive underdog if he was to face ‘Money’ in a straight up boxing match.

Throw an MMA element into any agreed clash and McGregor claims the undefeated Pound for Pound boxing number 1 wouldn’t last a minute.

That confidence might come from the spars with boxers like the one below, where former World title challenge Hyland couldn’t deal with ‘The Notorious’ when the boxing rule book was replaced by that of MMA.
