Upcoming Dublin fight card secures major sponsor

Tony Davitt and Boxing Ireland Promotions have secured a main sponsor for their upcoming card in Dublin.

‘Celtic Clash 3: Building Champions’ takes place at the National Stadium on Saturday September 9th, and the bill will be sponsored by Dublin Plumbing and Gas.

The card looks to build on the success of the Celtic Clash 2 card back in May and Stephen Sharpe of Boxing Ireland Promotions heralded the agreement as a substantial step forward for professional boxing in Ireland.

“Following a very difficult period for professional boxing in Ireland, the decision of Dublin Plumbing and Gas to come on board as sponsorship partners is a very positive move in terms of the domestic development of the sport”.

Having observed the recent emergence of the Tony Davitt/Boxing Ireland Promotions partnership, David Murphy of Dublin Plumbing and Gas believes it’s the perfect fit for his company.

The manager of welterweight Keane McMahon explained how “I watched how the lads at Boxing Ireland Promotions have operated over the last couple of months, their ability to engage the public and promote their shows has been really impressive, particularly their online presence.”

“I feel having my company Dublin Plumbing and Gas associated with these guys will benefit the company, it’s an exciting time for boxing in Ireland and I’m delighted to be able to invest in the sport.”
