Ukraine edge out Ireland in National Stadium Friday

The Ukraine edged out Ireland by a single bout at the National Stadium in Dublin last night, the visitors earning a 5-4 win over nine bouts.

Lauren Hogan, Kelly Harrington, Clare Grace and Christina Desmond emerged victorious for Ireland for the home side, Hogan and Desmond winning on majority decisions, Harrington on a unanimous, and Grace, the World No.8, on a split.

Both nations will meet again tomorrow night at the St Brigid’s BC in Kildare.
