Taylor and O’Reilly going for gold today

KATIE Taylor and Michael O’Reilly weighed in this morning ahead of their finals at the inaugural European Games in Baku, Azerbaijan.

Taylor meets French lightweight Estelle Mossely in a repeat of the 2013 and 2014 EU and European finals – which Taylor won – and O’Reilly is in against Azeri middleweight Xaybula Musalov at the Crystal Hall venue.

The final five bouts of the boxing event at the 1st Continental Olympiad will be decided today, and Irish boxing, once again, is in the thick of the action on the last day of a top international tournament.

Taylor will be in the ring at approximately 2pm, followed by O’Reilly at 3.15pm (Irish times).

Irish boxing has won 21 of its 31 bouts so far in Baku.
