Belfast light heavyweight Steven Ward [1(0)-0] will fight for the second time as a pro next month.

The Oliver Harrison-trained 26 year old has had a fight date confirmed for Saturday December 3rd on a show in Coventry.

‘The Quiet Man’ debuted earlier this month in his home city in front of a loud crowd. On the bill at the Titanic Exhibition Centre, Ward easily outpointed awkward Bulgarian Merdjidin Yuseinov over four rounds (40:36).

A win in ten days time will round out a successful first year as a pro for the 2010 Commonwealth silver medalist, who will be looking to move quickly through the ranks in 2017.

An opponent for Ward will be confirmed in the coming days.
