Start with a Bang – Paddy Gallagher Predicts Croker Cracker
Paddy Gallagher is predicting a Croker cracker this Saturday night.
The Pat Man and Irish middleweight champion Paul Ryan open the historic Katie Taylor farewell card at GAA Headquarters.
The Belfast fighter, who only came out of a six year long retirement this year, is relishing the opportunity to play a part in one of the biggest nights in Irish sporting history as he prepares to share the ring with the Dub.
The Commonwealth Games medalist expects proceedings to start with a bang, suggesting fans will be treated to an intriguing clash of styles.
The former BUI Celtic and BBBofC Celtic champion is confident that his experience and ability will ultimately prove decisive when the bell rings.
“This is going to be a cracking fight,” Gallagher said.
“We get to open the show which is unbelievable as well. It’s going to be an aggressive all-action fighter against a slick counterpuncher.
“I think it’s going to be the basis of who’s better at their game and there’s no doubt in my mind that I’m going to win the fight.”
Gallagher is also embracing the unique opportunity to compete on a card headlined by Taylor’s final professional appearance.

He was quick to thank those who helped make his involvement possible and believes the entire event promises to be an unforgettable spectacle.
“Once again thank you everyone who got me involved in this event. I’m really looking forward to it and it’s going to be an absolute spectacle.
“Enjoy the show all round. We’re first up. We get to fight, we do our thing and then we sit back and enjoy it all.”
