New Boxnation date for Jamie ‘Guaranteed Entertainment’ Conlan

Belfast super flyweight Jamie Conlan has been added to the Frank Warren/Boxnation show at the Cardiff Ice Arena on July 16th.

‘The Mexican’ won the Commonwealth title in his last fight in April, stopping champion Anthony Nelson in a shoo-in for Fight of the Year.

The popular MGM fighter also wowed fans last year at the National Stadium in another epic clash with Junior Granadons, and his willing to go to war has seen him become a crowd favourite.

While Conlan’s mooted future opponent Paul Butler has moved up to bantamweight, it is fair to assume that Frank Warren will seek to get the excititing 29 year old big fights as he has now become a ‘name’ in his own right, especially since the Nelson clash.

An opponent for next month’s bout has yet to be announced.

Conlan joins fellow Belfast man Tyrone McKenna, and Galway’s Gary Sweeney on the card which is headlined by Gary Corcoran and Liam Williams’s British and Commonwealth light middleweight title showdown.
