Nash gets Ireland to a winning start in Junior Euro championships

Eric Nash got Ireland off to a victorious start at the 19th European Junior Championships in Lviv, Ukraine this afternoon.

The Irish champion, Arnareee BC, beat Italy’s Guiseppe Ferik on a split decision in the featherweight class over three rounds.

Nash finished well said Irish Team manager Stephen Connolly.

“Eric boxed very well to get us off to winning start against a tough opponent. He had a great third round today.”

Nash was the only Irish boxer in action today.
