Manchester fans will shock Team Frampton says Joe Gallagher
While Carl Frampton may have more support at the Manchester Arena on Saturday night, ‘The Jackal’ is still set for a hostile reception.
At least that’s the prediction of Scott Quigg’s trainer.
Joe Gallagher made the claim this afternoon at the final pre-fight press conference at the Radisson Blu Hotel.
The Sligo-Manchester Ring Magazine Trainer of the Year feels that Team Frampton have been disrespectful throughout the build-up to the mega PPV fight, and that they will feel the consequences at the weekend.
Defending against accusations of his own arrogance, Gallagher argued that “they say I’m disrespectful but Carl was the one holding a piece of paper up with ‘Real Champion’ on it at the press conference in Belfast.”
“The people of Manchester didn’t like that.”
Therefore Gallagher, who also trains World champions Anthony Crolla and Liam Smith, anticipates a cauldron at the 20,000 seater venue at the weekend. The 47 year old promised that “they don’t know what’s gonna hit them on Saturday night.”
