Macklin topped Dublin fight card sells out in less than an hour
THE Return of the Mack has captured the attention of Dublin fight fans as tickets for Matthew Macklin’s Dublin return sold out in less than 45 minutes.
Matchroom boss Eddie Hearn revealed box office tickets for a show that also includes interesting Anthony Fitzgerald versus Gary ‘Spike’ O’Sullivan and Paul Moffett versus Luke Keeler Irish derbies aswell as a Commonwealth title tilt for Luke Wilton sold out in less than an hour.
Those who couldn’t purchase tickets via the box office may still be able to buy them off fighters, who have some of their allocation to sell. Speaking on Twitter Hearn said,
Tickets now SOLD OUT at the box office for @mattmacklin return in Dublin.Fighters may still have some from their allocation #returnofthemack

Whilst the National Stadium is well off the 16,000 Titanic Quarter capacity the desire for tickets and the rapid selling time is still a massive positive in terms of Irish boxing. Matchroom, who work exclusively with Sky Sports, will certainly be pleased and such interest will fuel their desire to build a Dublin base.
Other promoters might also be impressed enough to want a taste of the action outside Belfast meaning potentially more Irish shows.
