Kid Galahad backs Frampton to blow Quigg away within six

EUROPEAN super bantamweight champion Kid Galahad has backed Carl Frampton to stop Scott Quigg within six rounds if the mega clash is made.

The Ingle Gym graduate this week claimed he had ‘dealt’ with Quigg in a sparring session and said IBF World Champion Frampton will be too strong for the WBA regular title holder.

“I reckon Scott Quigg will get stopped inside six,” said Galahad. “Frampton will be too strong for him – he’s a better all-round fighter than Quigg is,” Galahad told Sky.

A mega Frampton v Quigg clash has yet to be officially confirmed, but the rivals seem set to trade leather this Summer. Galahad wants in on the domestic action, but doesn’t think he will get a shot at the victor and will settle for a clash with the defeated puncher.

“I personally believe the winner won’t fight me. I’ve got more chance of fighting the loser, but if I want to fight the winner then I’ll have to do an either better job on the loser.”
