JOE Hillerby lost a late notice clash on the big Matchroom clash in Newcastle on Saturday night.
‘The Faith’ returned from a sabbatical with a points victory over Dee Taggart last week and took a bout at 24 hours notice this week.
Hillerby stepped in to fight undefeated prospect Hosea Burton and was eventually stopped in the fourth round of the clash.
The reverse won’t affect the Belfast man’s domestic title hopes. Hillerby is a former light middleweight Irish title challenger and is anything but a natural light heavy, he also took the clash at a days notice, meaning victory wouldn’t have been expected.
