Gruesome! Jason Quigley target splits Quigley defeaters lip in half – Former Frampton foe floored

Jason Quigley target Jaime Munguia registered a gruesome stoppage over the weekend.

The Mexican , who holds an extremely controversial win over Dennis Hogan and an 11th round stoppage win over a disgruntled Spike O’Sullivan, defeated Tuearano Johnson in Texas on Friday night.

The former WBO light middleweight champion of the world caught Johnson, the only man to defeat Quigley and a fighter who holds a win over Eamonn O’Kane, split his opponents lip with a beautiful upper cut

Munguia has Irish previous and could have an Irish fighter in his future.

Quigley has been vocal about his desire to get revenge for Ireland by defeating the middleweight and the fact both are promoted by Golden Boy makes it an easy fight to make.

“Jaime Munguia has beat a few Irish lads already, I have to get him for that first and foremost and then I have to get him then for pushing on to become a world champion,” Quigley said previously.

“I definitely think that’s a fight that possible to make and should be made. I would love that fight.”

Another big name fighter with Irish previous was on the opposite end of a stoppage win. Two time Carl Frampton foe Leo Santa Cruz was taken out in spectacular fashion by Gervonta Davis.
