Going for Gold- O’Reilly into middleweight decider

Michael O’Reilly is through to the 75kg final at the European Games on a walkover.

The Portlaoise BC middleweight was due to meet Maxim Koptyakov at approximately 10am this morning (Irish time).

But the Russian has withdrawn from the semi-final after picking up an injury.

O’Reilly, now guaranteed at least silver, will meet either Xaybula Musalov of Azerbaijan or Zoltan Harsca of Hungary in Saturday’s final.

Katie Taylor and Sean McComb will be in semi-final action between 8.45am and 9.15am this morning. Taylor and McComb and opponents weighed in this morning.
