Frampton: Quigg was sh*tting himself in the first round versus Kiko

Carl Frampton and Scott Quigg began their press tour today and, while Wednesday at the Europa Hotel the main date in the calender’s of Frampton fans, it was a more than feisty affair today in London.

With the fight over 100 days away, it would be fair to assume that there would have be much pleasantries between the pair, but instead they immediately began firing barbs at each other and any friendliness the pair previously had was eroded.

Following comments from Quigg about his performance versus Alejandro González Jr in July, ‘The Jackal’ rounded on the Bury man, and told him that he “was sh*tting himself in the first round v Kiko [Martinez].”

“You f*cking cr*pped yourself.”

Frampton also drew attention to the Englishman’s draw with Cuba’s Yoandris Salinas which saw him ‘win’ the WBA ‘regular’ title

Quigg, of course, stopped the Spaniard in the second round of their fight and told Frampton that “I beat the best person on your record in two rounds!”

“Who’s the best name on your record?”

The conference then descended into a shouting match between both camps as the rivalry continues to heat

Judging by today’s events, we can expect fireworks in Belfast on Wednesday in an event not to be missed
