European Junior Championships – DRAW + Day One Live Stream
The draw has been made and Ireland gets underway at the European Junior Championships in Albena, Bulgaria today.
Five Irish fighters have received byes to the Last 16, while the remaining eight will be in action today
Boxing begins at 2.30pm (Irish time) today, with seven Irish in Ring B and one in Ring A
First up in Ring B at 2:30pm is Jude Gallagher against England’s Paul Cameron.
At 2:55 it is the turn of Dean Clancy against Belarussian Nazar Fadzeyeu.
At 3:55 captain Brandon McCarthy is in action against Georgian David Gvasalia.
At 4:30pm Mikey Stokes fights Luca Mumlek of Croatia. At 4:55pm it is the turn of Peter Vrinceanu who faces Italian Luca Filip.
At 5:45 vice captain Jake Tucker fights Gyula Varga then in the following, final, fight it is Cathal Crowley versus Russian Alexsei Dronov.
Over in Ring A there is just one Irish fighter in action – Crumlin’s William Hayden versus Georgian Jaba Tchumbashvili at about 5:30
