Dave Boy McAuley: Frampton will KO Quigg

While many are on the fence, Dave Boy McAuley is 100% sure that Carl Frampton will beat Scott Quigg when the pair meet at the Manchester Arena on February 27th

The former IBF flyweight World champ believes that Frampton is the superior boxer and told Frank Brownlow of the Belfast Telegraph that “It won’t be easy but I feel Frampton will stop Quigg in the later rounds.

“Quigg is good but doesn’t have the tools to beat Frampton.”

“Frampton will win because he has the edge in every department.”

Explaining the rationale behind his prediction, McAuley reasoned that “Quigg’s style will suit Frampton.”

“Quigg is a good puncher but he’s relatively easy to hit.”

In terms of 54 year old thinks that “Frampton just has to use his head and not become involed in a brawl,”

“He has to jab Quigg and wear him down, he has to hit and move – if he does that he can stop him late on.”
