Christine Frampton had the best response to ‘The Jackal’ missing weight

If you’re on Twitter and you don’t follow Christine Frampton, you’re missing out.

The wife of former two-weight champ Carl has a razor-sharp wit and is equally adept at taking the mickey out of her superstar husband or employing some self-deprecating humour.

‘The Jackal’ is preparing for his Belfast homecoming after two and a half years on the road.

He takes on Mexican Andes Gutierrez at the SSE Odyssey Arena, live on Channel 5, in what was intended to be a WBC featherweight title eliminator – however there was a hiccup this afternoon.

In a shock turn of events, Frampton weighed in a full pound over the featherweight limit, noting afterwards that he could not physically make the weight.

The fight tomorrow will still go ahead, but it will not act as an eliminator for the Tigers Bay man.

Frampton received criticism from some sections after the weight mishap and support from others, however our favourite response came from Christine.
