Caoimhin Agyarko Hynes hospitalised following vicious knife assault

Some distressing news emerged this morning, with one of the top young boxers in Ireland having been subject to a horrific assault.

Belfast middleweight Caoimhin Agyarko Hynes was attacked by a group of hoodlums late last night, being slashed with a knife outside a McDonalds in the city.

The Holy Trinity power puncher was rushed to Dundonald Hospital where he is to undergo surgery later today.

Hynes is said to be in good spirits following the cowardly attack.

The horrible news comes just one week following a big win in Paris for the 20 year old as he captained an Antrim team at the Montana Belts multi-nations, winning three fights in three days to take top prize at middleweight.

The thoughts of everyone a Irish-Boxing.com are with Caoimhin and his family at this tough time.

Get well soon champ!
