Barnes: Frampton will go on to dominate the division

ALTHOUGH he will always claim he can get the better of close pal Carl Frampton Paddy Barnes claims ‘The Jackal’ is ‘different class’ and has the ability to beat the Worlds best.

The IBF super bantamweight champion showed he is a level above by destroying mandatory challenger Chris Avalos in Belfast earlier this year and has since been linked with WBC champ Leo Santa Cruz and WBO and WBA belt holder Guillermo Rigondeaux.

However, the Belfast fighter is keen to settle his differences with Scott Quigg, but negotiations for a Summer showdown have fallen through.

Regardless of who is next or who he fights in the future two time Olympic medal winner Barnes believes should alway be backed to win.

“Carl would beat Quigg, I’ve no doubt about that. I would back him to beat anyone who was put in front of him. He’s different class and works so hard at his game,” said Barnes when speaking to the Belfast Telegraph.

“He could go on to dominate his division. People talk about Leo Santa Cruz being a big test for Carl but Frampton would hammer him. Even Quigg would beat him!”
