Lee, who is currently in New York as his trainer Adam Booth will work the corner of Cork based Cuban Mike Perez as he fights a World title eliminator in the Garden on tonight, had just moved into light middleweight title contention with a sensational knock out win over over John Jackson, but according to boxrec he will move back up to middleweight and get a second shot at a 160 title.

The Limerick man had been linked with a November clash with Matthew Macklin, if he was to fight in September, November might be too soon. However if he was to win the WBO title by beating a champion deemed more beatable than his fellow 160lbs strap holders  Irish fight fans could be treated to a domestic derby with World ramifications later on in the year.
