Three Irish fighters in European Youth Championships today

Galway lightweight James Cleary will get Ireland’s European Youth Championships campaign underway this afternoon with a preliminary round bout against Sebastigan Saciri of Serbia. Boxing begins at 2pm (Irish time).

Willie Donoghue and Fergus Quinn will be in action in the evening session versus German flyweight Asefi Soldimann and Hungarian middleweight Bence Papi. Cleary, Donoghue and Quinn will be the only Irish boxers between the ropes today.

The draw will be published here when available. Darryl Moran received a bye in the light-flyweight class.
