Jamie Conlan: Conor Quinn Faces Toughest Test Yet in Waterfront Headliner

Having built a merited reputation as one of the most entertaining fighters on the circuit at the moment, Conor Quinn (11-1-1) faces stiff opposition this Saturday night, as he takes on Mexico’s Pedro Delgado Gaytan (18-2-1).

Headlining the show at the beautiful Waterfront Hall in Belfast, promoter Jamie Conlan believes that should Quinn emerge the victor on Saturday night, the win could push his fellow Belfast man towards huge opportunities.

“Against a come-forward Mexican who has a point to prove and can punch with either hand, Conor will need to show his boxing skills and grit to come through this,” he said.

“But when he does, it will prove he can progress onto bigger nights on the world stage.”

Topping the bill on a sold out show is enough to display just how highly regarded the former Celtic Flyweight Champion is in his hometown, with Conlan earmarking his last outing as a treat for fight fans.

“He’s really establishing himself as a fun fighter to watch and he’s getting people talking about him in Belfast. Last time out it was a fight of the year contender, I think this one has all the ingredients to be the same,” said Conlan.
